Founder
While most of my age group is spending their time planning retirement parties and cruises, I am focused on building better businesses and being the best Ancestor I can be. For the greater part of my life, I have spent every day intentionally trying to be the best version of a human I can be. My days are spent tending to the needs and wants of land, animals, and other humans. I consider it to be an honor, privilege and destiny that my life pathway wound its way to becoming the steward of a critical land conservation easement project; the facilitator of wellbeing experiences for other humans; and the founder/chief entrepreneur of a corporation that eliminates the disconnect between profits and public benefits.
My real estate public benefit corporation business plan and mission rests on the pillars of conserving valuable land but not sacrificing the ability to create profit from the land. I am also creating businesses that provide focused public access for innovation, education, research, health, and human services, ensuring that future generations inherit a thriving and ecologically balanced planet. The businesses aim to addresses a range of pressing issues, including the loss and degradation of arable lands, reduction in natural biodiversity, destruction of cultural/historical sites, generational detachment from nature, disruption of wildlife migration pathways, and the increase in mental health crises. Our ultimate goal is to benefit innovative individuals, the environment, and the Durango Colorado community as a whole.
The PBC model allows for positive revenue generation as well as positive human and environmental impacts. I am convinced that the power of business can be used for good.
It is not only important for me to regenerate a healthy sustainable ecosystem on our lands but to educate the next (re)generation about the importance of Earth Care and holistic understanding of existing on the Earth. I always follow the wise words of Baba Dioum, “"In the end, we will conserve only what we love; we will love only what we understand, and we will understand only what we are taught."
