How do we translate what investors say to us with what they actually mean?
There are so many signals that sound like “yes” that are actually “no”, for example:
“We’re really interested in your business when you get to XYZ in revenue.” This means no. It doesn’t mean they will invest later if you hit that milestone.
“We love the startup but we’re not sure it’s a fit for us.” This means no. Any investor that loves a startup will tend to also want to invest.
The list goes on. In this episode of Startup Therapy we’ll explain why investors say these things and how to translate their words into wisdom.
