Hire a smart virtual assistant (VA) capable of performing various activities. This will ensure focusing on your core activities and relatively cheaper cost.

Don't hire freelance VA, always look for companies who provide these services. You will be better of with almost no downtime plus having access to their tool and automation platform.

I collaborated with one, who gave special services like:

1. Flexible hours of work based on need
2. Work as per your desired time zones.
3. No additional Project Management charge.
4. No upfront investment.
5. 100% security i.e. own the copyrights of the work done.
6. Track performance by daily reporting schedule.
7. Rate as low as $8/hour.

Hi,
Don't start with the title. Start with building a clear job description for this person; figuring out what duties or tasks you want this person to do, and what your expected results are; develop a list of skills and competencies this person will need to be successful. If you need help with this check out https://www.onetonline.org/ - thousand of job descriptions. When you have this completed, you will have a better understanding of the type of person you are looking for and can reach out to a recruiter to get the right person for your job or place an ad yourself. The key is to spend time up front hiring the right person, instead of dealing with employee issues down the road.

This is a great question and a situation I've faced a number of times.

Start with your own strengths, where you add value and where you want the business to go.

Then build out what you don't want to do, what you want to keep control of and what your ideal person looks like.

From experience I'd say that you need 2 people to run the agency - one who's operational and the other who's in charge of client strategy and client relations.

My approach, with all my businesses... depend on automated systems. If I can't find a way to automate business processes with zero humans, I walk away from the money.

At first glance this might seem a costly mistake.

There's a big difference between income + profit.

I focus on profit. If I can automate processes without humans, then a business scales forever.

Also, without humans involved, I know process correctness runs at 100%... and I have no humans, so no overhead expenses, so 100% profit.

My suggestion. Go for automated systems producing 100% profit rather than humans.

You should hire someone that understand how Management Operating System (MOS) works. An MOS is a process that allows the managers to drive results in your small business. You business has a MOS but it may be broken or flawed. I have used this system to drive results at ULA, Caterpillar, Bway, and others. If you don't, then you only minor results. This MOS system will GUARANTEE results.
